Dental Health
Purpose
The Graham County Department of Public Health provides reasonable access to basic dental services for adult and children in and around Graham County.
Insurance
The clinic is currently accepting new patients with North Carolina Medicaid, North Carolina Health Choice or self-pay patients (this is for all citizens regardless of income). Fees for the self-pay patients are based on the Medicaid rate.
The clinic currently does not accept private insurance.

- Diagnostic and preventive
- cleanings
- exams
- fluorides
- radiographs
- sealants
- Limited endodontic procedures
- Limited prosthodontic procedures
- Restorative
- Fillings
- Pulpotomies
- Stainless steel crowns
- Surgical (extractions and other minor surgical procedures)
North Carolina Oral Health Section
The Oral Health Section (OHS) is the only statewide dental program, either public or private, that provides prevention and education services on dental health specifically for children. Prevention is the key to improved oral health. Too many citizens, and children in particular, experience preventable dental disease.
